A Brave Thing

I did a brave thing today.  A brave thing for me that is.  I cut Will's hair all on my own.  Carl always asks me to help with his hair cuts and I am always nervous about it.  Last time we cut Will's hair, Carl used the clippers and I did the longer part with scissors.  Well lately Will's hair has been getting a little long and unruly.  I have been resisting cutting it, as I do love his baby fine soft silky hair, but it is just too hard to control.  Besides, Carl had been wanting to buzz it for weeks now.  So after many youtube video tutorials and mustering up my courage, I put Will on the toilet, wrapped him in a sheet, and buzzed my baby's hair.  I can hear all you experienced hair-cutting mommy's laughing now.  :)  I have to say I am pleased with the results, though I know it is definitely not professional.  Thankfully his fine hair and the light blond are forgiving.  :)

By the way, if you are in need of help to buzz your child's hair, here is the best youtube tutorial I found for using clippers:  How to cut a childs hair with Clippers. Tutorial by expert hairdresser Ken Graham.

A Trick and a Super Hero

Not much to report around here as of late as far as blogging goes, so I thought I'd just post a few things for the friends and family who like to see them.  :)   First there's a video of Will doing a trick.  Carl will take things like matchbox cars and "swallow" them (hide them in his hand and pretend to swallow them while hiding it behind him).  Then he will "cough" the toy up.  Will thinks this trick is absolutely hilarious.  So here is Will's rendition of this mystifying illusion.

Also, Spiderman's true identity has been revealed to me...
I have to admit...I thought he would be much taller in person.
Here he is demonstrating his heroic skill set (also different from the comics/movies):
Running at the speed of light.
Creating a somersault pose (hasn't yet quite made it over).
And much to my surprise, here he is driving off in his super hero-like...
...pink princess car?!?!?  I was just as shocked as you are.
