Carnival!

On President's day we went to an indoor carnival/animal petting zoo.  Will had a great time riding the rides and eating special treats, as well as seeing some unusual, exotic animals.  It was a great way to spend a few hours on a very cold day.  As you can imagine, I had a difficult time getting Will to actually look at the camera during most of these photos, with all the distractions around him.  :)

Will is anxiously awaiting his train ride here--the first ride he rode (and rode again later).  He loved it!

Finally it's his turn!!

Mmm....cotton candy!!!!

Tired Snow Bunny

Will was pretty worn out after playing outside in the snow for a long while with Daddy.  His main activity in the snow is digging and he was laying on the pile of snow clothing after coming in saying that he was "so tired" from digging in the snow.  As you can see, he couldn't even finish undressing from his snow gear before he needed a rest.  :)
He just wasn't going to smile.

So he decided to pretend to sleep. :)

This is the best he would give me with his eyes actually open.  :)

Quick Snow Update

Here is the snow as of this morning.  Will informed me that it was "so deep you could sink and not find your mother" in it.  :)  I'll post more picks later.  For family who are worried, we are fine with power (our power here is underground I think, so we don't worry about outages).  :)
Front yard.

Back yard.

Here's Carl and Will going out snowshoeing this morning.  It was a little flurry-like out, as it was snowing and a bit windy.

Swim Lessons

Will recently started swim lessons again.  He had taken a "mommy and me" type swim class a couple of years ago.  This is his first class where he is alone in the water.  We were worried he would not want to do it because of that, as he always likes to be in contact with you when we take him to the pool, but he took to it like a champ!

I love at the end of this he says "I'm going backwards!".  He means that he is swimming away from the group, rather than toward them.

Snow Bunny

Will LOVES the snow and like most small children, seems to be impervious to the cold.  So whenever he can, he gets suited up and plays in the snow that we have outside right now.  When it first fell, Carl built him a snow tunnel in our yard.  He loved that.  At one point, Carl didn't even have an "out" door on the tunnel and Will said he would just crawl through and "bash through" the would-be door.  I am amazed that he is fearless in that manner.  He has also become more fearless with sledding.  Last year he did not want to sled at all, not even down very small hills in the yard (we did take him down a hill once and he did not at all desire to do it again).  This year he thought it was a blast and decided he would try a running belly-flop on the sled in the small hill in our yard.  Fun stuff!  So here are a couple videos and pics for our loved ones.  :)  **Please forgive the quality of the video, it gets quite degraded in the process of adding it to the blog...something about shrinking the size I think (I don't know much about how it works).  :)**

Here he was doing a little digging at our Pastor's house.  No, he did not dig that hole/tunnel on his own.  :)

Thanks Pops and Deedee!

Will's grandparents recently gave him a couple of gifts...a recorder and a harmonica (or as will says "monica").  Our house is alive with the sound of muuuuuusic! :)

That is supposed to be a smile.  :)  Welcome to the stage of little boy awkward smiles.  Lol.  :)

Merry Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas everyone!  We hope your day is/was splendid and that you were able to spend it with family and loved ones!  Praise God for sending his precious son, our loving Savior!

Here are a few pictures from our morning:

Will got all the presents out from under the tree for all the children.  Here he's surveying the goods.

Will's gift, a Diego rescue center and accessories.

Thank you Uncle Brian and Tia Maria for the rescue helicopter!  He loves it!
