Pregnant Lady Question

Okay, I have a question for all you prior and current pregnant ladies I know ;). I have seen this thing called a Tummy Tube or something at the store and the clerk talked it up bigtime, but I'm wondering---does it really work? It's that thing that is like an elastic/spandex belt/tube thing that you can supposedly put around your belly and fold over your current clothing, leaving the zipper and button undone, and folding this thing over the waist to make your current clothes "fit" for a while longer once your belly starts to grow. Does anyone know what I'm talking about? Have any of you used it or known anyone who has and does it really work AND is it really worth it to get it-like do you use it long enough to make it worthwhile? Thanks for any advice you have!

I saw that the other day, but nope never used it. I get big quick and maternity clothes fit just fine. LOL! Sorry I can't help you on that one. :)

I bought one when I was prego with Myah and loved it! I've used it with her and Macy. It does work at first to cover zippers and later to cover that hideous maternity waistband. I would suggest getting a white one as it looks like an undershirt when showing. The beige one looks too much like flesh. I know someone who used theirs as an undershirt wearing it like a tube top. I never tried that but used it a lot so I could continue wearing my regular skirts longer than normal. You can also use a rubber band or hair tie to expand your skirts by looping them through the button closure and around the button. Also, baby doll tops work great as maternity shirts.

How interesting. I have not heard of that.. but I thought I saw someone at church using something like that. Was it Jaimee? I can't remember. That would be a great solution for you skinny gals who can get some more time from your regular clothes before having to go to maternity. :) Love you and miss you so much. I wish I could be there to talk to you about all your new changes and situations. I bet you are just having a wonderful time learning all about how God made our bodies so wonderfully to be able to carry a baby. Maybe I'll have to come for a visit! It's hard to express how happy I am for you guys. :):)

Here's another thing I just recently learned.... hmmm, maybe this may offend some: oh well - here it goes.
After delivery you have much bleeding (ALOT) - well, I just learned of a Mom who instead of using regular pads, which sometimes don't do the trick esp. at night, used Depends (the adult diapers) - I am so doing that this time. Just thought I would share that. I thought it was a great idea. I think of at night when asleep - the Depends probably give more protection.
